YAAAAY! Fashion's night out! Gargyle.com is doing a really cool scavenger hunt both in NYC and online (for those of us not in the big apple)... join me September 10 in the online version... go to gargyle.com to enter! (Oh and they're doing a drawing too.......)

Then when you're done, check out these amazing trompe l'oeil dresses...

Vena Cava

I love you.

I don't remember the last time you told me that you loved me... even though I tell you all the time. But tonight you said it, and it made me really happy. Happy Birthday, you are one of my favorite people in the whole world.

Yummy Vivienne Westwood Boots

Oh my goodness. Vivienne Westwood is a total bad-ass. These boots, from her fall 2009 Red Label are TO DIE FOR......................

I like the red ones the best.

Where the Wild Things Are

In anticipation for the movie, Where the Wild Things Are I just wanted to post these. I would never buy a fur coat unless it was second-hand, but I think they are super gorgeous. Oh, and I cannot wait to see this movie!

World's most eligible heiresses

I saw this album in Vanity Fair last month (or at least I think it was last month) well anyways...

this...
From left: Tatiana Santo Domingo, Margherita Maccapani Missoni, Joséphine de La Baume, Olympia Scarry, Bianca Brandolini d’Adda (reclining), and Alexia Niedzielski.

reminded me of this...

The strange thing is... maybe the girls from the Vanity Fair shoot are today's "most eligible heiresses"... but the sisters in Virgin Suicides were "eligible heiresses" in their own right. Oh I love that movie. Check it out if you haven't seen it.

Shake it.

Tonight I went to hear the piano man. I'm sure you have seen someone like him before... he plays and sings songs requested by drunk people... and then everyone sings and it's really really fun. Well, it was a few people's birthdays... and he got them to go up on stage and he made them do the hokie-pokie. There was only one girl... and he played a verse especially for her... and to be polite to her on her birthday... I'll just say that she had to "shimmy" on stage for about three minutes completely solo... and then he went into "Hey Ya" by Black Eyed Peas and encouraged her to "shake it like a Polaroid picture". Poor girl. Happy Birthday to YOU.

So I thought in honor of her, I would put up some cool Polaroid pictures...

I like all of these... but I think my favorite is the little girl with the sailor hat and mustache. She seems like a fun person to be friends with.

Inspiration: Johannes Brahms

So lately I've been spending my free time practicing the piano. I've been trying to play classical music that I know is supposed to be beautiful, but it's been so long since I've played... I'm having to remember really... how to do it. However, I have been playing one song pretty decently. It's a waltz by Johannes Brahms and it's beautiful. Every time I play it I imagine that I'm wearing anything Chloe because pretty much any piece from the label fits the music so well. Everything is so feminine and airy like the notes in his songs!

If I ever had a chance to meet him, I would love to wear any one of these dresses to our first meeting. He would probably put his arm around my waist and sit me down on the piano bench next to him while he played for me. After all, he's a fashionable guy... check out his ascot!

Sweet Tooth

I have a sweet tooth for all things sweet! Now that summer is over, drippy ice cream cones aren't an after-dinner option anymore. Maybe I could get some of those designer lollipops to fulfill my sugar cravings.

Marie Antoinette is one of my absolute favorite movies!!! Beautiful cupcakes and champagne are the perfect combination for fashionistas who love sugar.

Give me Liberty or give me.....

I have been in love with Liberty of London since last summer when I was studying abroad. Oh it is the most fabulous "department store" ever! Lately I've been daydreaming about Liberty prints and I've been wishing that TOMS would make me a pair of shoes in the Liberty style...

Y-3 Jackets!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am uber-impressed with Y-3's Fall Ready to Wear Collection this year. So many beautiful jackets! It's hard to pick just one... especially when I live in a place that doesn't get cold until Christmas!
