I love menswear inspired clothing.

I miss this feminine way of dressing... things are a lot harder right now.

This was me freshman year of college. Drinking bottles of champagne in the dorms. Oh so classy.

That fuzzy sweater is wonderful. Rabbit hair? Cashmere? Heaven?

Fake eyelashes are my guilty pleasure.

This was a fun issue! It's funny, looking at these old magazines at how different the attitude on the pages are right now... in 2006, 2007, 2008, there are tons of alcohol and cigarette ads. Tons of models are shown smoking. That's not really the case right now... it could be an ethical thing or an economic thing, I don't know, probably both.

I"m loving these black and white knits... and they look great with the contrasting tailored pieces.

More knits... lovin' it.

This reminds me of my best friend, Brennwyn. She's a beautiful girl who loves some good chocolate.

Who called the final shot on this one? This Juliette Lewis piece wasn't edited properly... it's the same story on two pages.

Juliette was arrested at the young age of sixteen for being underage in a nightclub. All charges were dropped and the police officer gave her her mugshot as a gift. It now hangs in her home.

Emma Roberts is so precious.

Andy Warhol is my man. And I totally have that sleep mask.

I cannot wait to look into Mathew Stone's work a little more... his stuff is dreamy and a little trippy.

Taxidermy is like, so neat in my book.

This Betsey Johnson dress is so much fun.

The eye makeup on this model is so cute. I plan on trying that very soon.

United Colors of Benetton advertisements over the years. It's quite a collection, no?

I love Rio de Janiero. Any city with a statue of Jesus looking out over it is okay in my book.

Horse motif steals my heart every time.

Well, I'm in the double digits now. It's quite an achievement... but I have been snowed in at my house all week long... so really, it's not too impressive. Every time I go into my closet I'm amazed how many magazines I have left! Yikes! They just keep on growing!

This is an interesting shot of Margherita Missoni. I feel like it is not the most flattering... and what is up with that pale, pale lip color?

Valentine Fillol-Cordier is really adorable. I'm digging the contrast between her red hair and white glasses.

New York based model, Taylor Warren (yeah, I don't really know who she is either...). Oh this is the cutest puppy ever. Love him.

8. Nylon Magazine November 2006

This was kind of cool. But seriously, who would buy a Marc Jacobs shopping bag for $800? Ugh, what a waste of money.

This issue, Nylon featured several cities in the U.S. and some favorite fashions there. Not long after seeing this Mexican dress worn by the Austinite, I bought one for myself (in canary yellow.)

This reminded me of the piece of toast with the image of the Virgin Mary toasted on it. It's hysterical.

This is fun.

This was a pretty sucky issue of Nylon magazine. There just wasn't a lot there to dig your teeth into, although I probably really liked it back in 2006. I think it's funny though, they featured Amber Tamblyn on the cover saying, "she's the next big thing!" Besides her role in 127 Hours, What has she done since The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants?

7. Nylon Magazine September 2007

OMG. I love old school Nike ads. Last year I designed a set of shirts based on the old ads.

I remember this article on Isabella Blow fondly. She really was a tormented, wonderful soul.

There is a necklace featured on this page by Robindira Unsworth, the jewelry designer I used to work for in Petaluma, CA. This necklace is pretty simple and understated compared to Robindira's other pieces. Check them out on her website.

I am totally getting this book by Misshapes.
